Meet Taylor DeBell
Here in the dog days of summer, we thought it would be the perfect time to introduce you to one of the coolest producers we know: Taylor DeBell.
Taylor is based in GOXD’s Atlanta studio and has quickly made herself an integral part of nearly every project. No matter what the task, from painting to packing to building to breaking down, she’s consistently knocking it out of the park, keeping us organized and making us laugh all at the same time. She’s a buzzsaw with a smile!

Hey, Taylor, what’s your story?
I’m just a kid from South Florida — Hollywood, to be exact — between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. I moved to a little Georgia mountain town in high school, and things got weird, but I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and came out on top. Fun fact: I was the homecoming queen (which is a big deal in a Georgia Mountain town). After high school, I moved to Athens to go to the University of Georgia and never looked back. And here I am today, calling GO! home.
What are the titles of the last three books you’ve read?
- What is the What, by Dave Eggers
- For Whom the Bell Tolls, by Ernest Hemingway
- Marie Antoinette: The Journey, by Antonia Fraser
What motivates you?
Coffee, trap music, and money. The dream that hard work will pay off and I’ll retire in Italy someday. Also, an awesome client is a great motivator — it’s pretty easy to work hard when the client is so wonderful.
How do you motivate others?
I’m a “yes man,” for sure. I keep a no-task-is-impossible attitude and stay pretty calm, which in turn, helps the people around me to stay calm. I don’t know if that necessarily motivates people, but I like to think it helps. I also toss in a little humor for good measure to break up the stress.
What’s your secret superpower?
I probably shouldn’t say this because people will ask me to do these now, but I am pretty good at impressions. I have an impression for every person I worked with at my last job. I do some celebrity ones even. BUT DON’T ask me to do them yet. I will in my own time. Plus, I have to really perfect them before I release them to the public.
What song best describes your work style?
“Big Boss Big Time Business,” by Santigold. She is just the coolest. I definitely feel like a Big Boss when I listen to it.
